We can carry out a range of cost-effective solutions for the cleaning of building exterior surfaces which can be caused by a number of reasons for example: general build-up of dirt, stains, organic matter and paint removal and these deposits can cover a range of different building materials for example brickwork, stone, woodwork, aluminium and cladding.

All our work is carried out to the highest standard by a team of skilled operatives.

We are able to offer a one stop service to all clients ensuring that from an individual building, to a complete industrial/retail estate, your property is maintained to the highest standards both in terms of planned and reactive maintenance.

Doff Steam Cleaning

DOFF is a steam-based stone cleaning system. It's unlike any other steam system and can achieve temperatures of up to 150°C at the nozzle end - making it a 'super-heated water system'. The operator is able to vary the temperature and pressure to remove many different types of paint and biological matter.

The benefits of using super-heated steam on your buildings cleaning project is the fact that no harsh pressure is used to clean the substrate and therefore no damage can occur.

What can DOFF be used for?

The steam/superheated water will remove moss, algae, fungi and other biological matter and will also kill off spores. This means there's then no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological activity.

How does it work?

DOFF cleans stonework and masonry using high temperature steam. Whilst the temperature in the system is high, the pressure on the surface being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of water is low. The surface is therefore not saturated and will be dry within minutes.

What is the DOFF most effective in removing?

Facade Cleaning

If you are looking for a professional stone clean to spruce up the look of your building, to help in the identification of structural issues such as missing pointing or cracks, or to remove damaging deposits such as lichen or algae, Prosweep Services have the knowledge, experience and equipment to carry out a thorough clean without causing immediate or long-term damage.

Building exteriors can deteriorate due to a number of reasons for example:

  • General neglect: wear and tear that occurs over time
  • Harsh weather: damp or humid conditions, buildings close to the coast
  • Natural growths: algae, moss and other weeds, plants or fungi
  • Modern day pollutants: traffic film, carbon deposits

We can carry out a one-off clean or work with you on a timely preventative maintenance programme to keep your building looking its best at all times.

Graffiti Removal

Graffiti is an act of vandalism that can be unsightly, offensive and abusive. The presence of graffiti can also have a negative effect on the surrounding area with visitors less likely to visit. It can also be extremely difficult to remove graffiti using regular cleaning methods. We use a range of graffiti removal products applied either by hand or using pressure washing equipment which will restore the area back to its former glory

Gum Removal

Gum deposits are often a blight on our paths, concourses, entrances any many more external areas, even entrance matting can be prone to these unsightly deposits.

Gum can be easily removed by using steam which lifts away and clears gum deposits from a number of surfaces for example on tarmac, block paving, concrete, natural stone and many more.

Softwashing

Soft washing gives best results when used on exterior surfaces such as wood cladding, through coloured renders and powder coated cladding and is ideal for use on walls and roofs, both pitched and flat.

We use low pressure, non-abrasive methods and where needed Softwashing chemicals are applied which are designed to be safe for the environment.

We operate our own equipment to access higher areas which ensure safe working practises are followed, and ensure no damage is caused to the building. Typically, mobile elevated working platforms are used and all operators are trained to use this equipment.
